The
Espéraza artists' group. Every Thursday morning, we arrive at the Atelier de Poterie in Espéraza. First one or two, then a few more, some Thursdays many more. We are all artists, and we are meeting for tea and friendship - and so the name: Art Tea, or in French, Art Thè. We meet over tea or coffee to chat, to keep in touch with each other, to learn from each other, and to share the life of being artists. As artists we're often alone, working in our studios, solitary. Although most artists find it necessary to work this way, they still miss seeing other artists. So we've made a date among ourselves - on Thursday, 10:30 in the morning, there will be artists at the Atelier Café for conversation. Anyone who wants to comes and joins us for a morning of comaraderie. All artists are invited, all artists are welcome. The group includes accomplished career artists as well as promising amateurs and those who paint simply for the love of it. At these meetings we talk about anything that's interesting to artists. It could be news of upcoming shows and expositions, opportunities for sales, information about galleries, or it could be insights into how to get a particular effect in a painting, or it could be just general comaraderie. |
